Considered Australia's greatest ever basketballer, Andrew Gaze is an enthusiastic and energetic people person. At 18 Andrew joined the National Basketball League and in 1993 realised his dream of captaining the Melbourne Tigers to victory, coached by his father Lindsay. He played at five Olympic games with the Boomers and was the flagbearer at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Since retiring from the NBL Andrew has become a much loved media personality, commentating on the NBL with SEN 1116 radio and Fox Sport and rating highly on Dancing with the Stars. He has also created his own range of footwear and apparel. Andrew is married to Melinda and father of four. His affable personality and sense of fun make him an ideal host on Guide to the Good Life.

"I've been able to meet some great people and most of all and I've got to experience many things that I never envisaged; riding a horse, being on a jet ski, sailing a catamaran and trying out new foods"

One of Australia's greatest ever touring car drivers, Mark Skaife began his career in karts in 1981. At 17 years of age he moved to car racing, beginning a 10-year association with Gibson Motorsport which delivered two Touring Car Championships, two Bathurst wins and three Australian Drivers titles. In 1997 Skaifey joined the Holden Racing team, winning numerous championships. He was a co-driver with the late Peter Brock for Peters last two events. On track Mark Skaife shows a fierce will to win, but off track he has a great sense of humour and always takes time for a chat with his fans. Mark has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to motor racing and charity. He officially retired in 2008, but seems even busier with work as a commentator on Channel 7, a promoter of V8 Supercar racing and an adviser on car safety and design. Mark's experience and diverse talents make him a warm and articulate motoring expert on The Guide to the Good Life.

Chef Steven Snow has won many accolades during his years of cooking and teaching, but he considers no greater praise than that of a satisfied diner at his restaurant, Fins, on the north coast of NSW. Steven has honed his skills as guest chef at many outstanding restaurants in Australia and overseas, and collected his knowledge and insights on cuisine and the good life in his bestselling book, Byron: cooking and eating. Fins is the most awarded restaurant outside a capital city in Australia, and even received the Best Regional Seafood Restaurant in NSW award from the Sydney Fish Markets. Steven particularly enjoys using food in an innovative and nutritious way, combining line-caught fish, seafood and local organic fruits and vegetables as well as produce from his home garden. Enjoy expanding your cooking repertoire with this best of the best Australian chef, a man who grows, catches and cooks the finest Australian fare on the Guide to the Good Life.

"I am constantly living the good life. In fact, as the show goes to air, I am in Japan, savouring sashimi, fugu, sake, bathing in natural hot springs (onsen), climbing mountains and generally enjoying myself (major understatement). I am looking forward to divulging all my culinary secrets to everyone who tunes in. Education and a good laugh are also on the menu, but the staple is great healthy restaurant style food made easy for home cooks."

Gorgi Quill is no stranger to the world of reporting. With a background in news, current affairs, travel and entertainment she is an accomplished and energetic presenter with a strong interest in sharing insights into the ingredients of a good life. A former state level equestrian competitor, Gorgi was educated in Melbourne at Monash University where she majored in pharmacology and zoology before completing a Graduate Diploma of Education in biology and science. Following four years of secondary teaching Gorgi joined the Nine Network as a news reporter, moving to the Today show to highlight travel adventures throughout Australia, America, Canada and Australia. Gorgi is also a classically trained singer and experienced stage performer, appearing in the Queen/Ben Elton musical We Will Rock You and with David Campbell in Carousel. Gorgi's packed a lot of living into her life so far and shares this enthusiasm for travel and adventure in the Guide to the Good Life.

"At the ripe old age of 33 (!) I've been lucky enough to have travelled the world as a travel reporter, performed in professional musical theatre, taught Year 12 Biology, been a state level equestrian rider and completed a Bachelor of Science...I've had the good life so far and hope that I can encourage people to follow their passions too. I also hope to bring humour, experienced travel advice and my good old fashioned country-girl, down-to-earthness to the show!"

Max "Tangles" Walker. Where do you start? We all think we know this accomplished cricketer, author and raconteur really well, but do we? It's fitting that such a friendly fellow attended the Friends School in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne to play football for Melbourne Football Club. Two other ambitions were also ticked; playing cricket for Melbourne Cricket Club and studying architecture at RMIT. It's as a cricketer we grew to know and love Max well & an astounding 34 test matches confirming his position as one of the game's all-time greats. Since then we've seen Max as a sports commentator, author of 14 books, including seven No. 1 bestsellers and a highly successful public speaker. Max likes to see himself as an architect of change, encouraging others to re-imagine, reengineer, rejuvenate and refresh. It's his ready embrace of the importance of change that makes Max an ideal presenter for the Guide to the Good Life.

"In my time I've won, I've lost, I've laughed and I've shed a tear or two & you could say I've put down a lot of track. Life is not flat, it's not fair & I understand the 'Institute of Experience' - both the joy and the pain. I have a genuine love of people and their stories. My role will be to describe the 'Good Life' in all its manifestations."

Colette Mann sings, dances, acts and makes us laugh. She first appeared on stage in Kenn Brodziak's production of Godspell in 1971, enjoying an amazing three year run. She also created the much loved role of Doreen Burns in Prisoner. Since then she has appeared in stage productions too numerous to mention, reported on TV, broadcast on radio and written a column in New Idea. Recent shows include Mum's the Word II, a spoof on bringing up teenagers and as Shirley in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the Musical. She has also authored two books, It's a Mann's World, and more recently, Give Me a Break, co-written with her two sons, Sam and Charlie. Colette has always managed to see the funny side of life - and parenting - and now brings her great warmth, wit and wisdom to the Guide to the Good Life.

"What more can a middle-aged, slightly dumpy lass need? I am the good-life queen! My boys are ALMOST out of my hair, I Iove a challenge and I am healthy, not so wealthy, but okay, and still have all my bits. What will I share? Well hopefully a few laughs as I ride camels, meet the furry fat locals on Kangaroo Island, climb 1000 stairs and learn to belly dance. Small children should look away!"

Sofie Formica began her career in TV in Queensland at the ripe old age of 15. By the time she finished highs school she was a regular on the children's show, Wombat. Since then Sophie has appeared in Saturday Disney, Now You See It, The Great Outdoors and Just Kidding.

A move to Los Angeles saw her work as a reporter on a national entertainment show, EXTRA, interviewing celebrities such as Bruce Willis, Meg Ryan, Nicole Kidman and Sly Stallone. In 1996 Sofie moved to San Francisco as host of The Web, a show explaining Internet culture. This led to an invitation to work with Oprah Winfrey in a 13-part series Oprah Goes Online in 1999. Sofie has since moved back to Australia with her husband, Scott, to raise twins, Jack and Jessica, and daughter, Emily. Here she is hosting the popular Queensland lifestyle program, The Great South East, and now brings her experience and empathy to The Guide to the Good Life.

"I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend which means life can be hectic. To me the Good Life is all about finding balance. I'm still working on it but everyday I remind myself not to sweat the small stuff, to take time out to appreciate what I have worked for, and, above all else, to always able to find reasons to smile. I genuinely enjoy discovering new places and am always exhilarated when trying things for the first time. Most of all, I love to meet and talk to people who are passionate about the lives they lead, the places where they live and the stories they have to tell."
